Florida Aquaculture Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that believes in building economic empowerment for individuals through education, training, and research. Our goal is to help people in rural, agricultural towns emerge out of poverty by offering them opportunities that advance their capabilities. This involves adult literacy programs, revenue-generating projects, and job training development.
We also create awareness of aquaculture and agricultural studies among middle and high school students. We have partnered with colleges and universities to develop student internship and certificate programs that emphasize hands-on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) experiences with the ultimate goal of economic empowerment through education.
In addition, we actively seek grant funding for scientific research that develops technological advances and farming sustainability in both live bait and super-premium table shrimp cultivation.
